I’d forgotten how delicious it is to get lost in a good book. I didn’t remember, until just now, that the world around you disappears, all the sounds, smells, sensations, the movements of people. There is nothing but the world inside your book and you are a part of it, a welcome voyeur.
It feels like forever since I read a book with this much hunger. I have missed it terribly without even realizing it. Every time I close the cover, I feel I have just returned from a short but restorative vacation.
A temporary but effective panacea for the present world.
I highly recommend it.

Yaaaaay! Good for you! 🙂
You inspire me. I’ve never known anyone who gets so much done and still manages to read like you do!
I couldn’t live without books, anytime.
I’m glad you rediscovered them. They are awesome friends to have over for tea ☕️

For sure. I never stopped reading, but it was more clinical, somehow. Being quarantined has given me “permission” to choose a storybook and to spend as much time as I want with it!😀
